Weren't we taking a loss just a couple years ago?  That's a pretty good turnaround.  I guess it can be attributed to bigger crowds, higher ticket prices, and finally being out from under all our former coaches' buyouts.  Plus, they've apparently eliminated the groundskeeping budget.  I'm sure that helped, too. :dunno:

Is UT making money? It depends on how the bean counters are cooking the books and which set of ledgers you look at. There is the UTAD set of books that the UT administrators look at and the set of books that they show the public. Accounting always has a set of books for tax purposes and one for when the reviews for raises is conducted. Don't anyone try to convince me otherwise because I understand how the accounting game is played. So in a word: YES UT is making money and a lot more than the $10 million reserve Hart claims. If they claimed more, then it would be hard to go to alumni and plead for money for the poor UTAD coffers. I believe Hart only as long as that cheap hair dye he uses lasts.

I like the way you worked that in there.
