How does a guy who completes 5 of 9 passes for 80 yards and no TDs have such an impact on a game? I don't know, but that just happened.

He makes everybody around him better. I think they want to seem to put as much effort and devotion into the game as he does.

In his postgame interview, Manning said the biggest thing was that the linemen blocked better and the running backs ran better when he came into the game. He was trying to deflect credit for the comeback, and I'm sure the anti-Manning crowd will try to spin the comment negatively ("Manning thinks his teammates play better for him than they do for Osweiler") but that's exactly what happened.

Game Management among other things.  He had some checks to runs today that were very effective.

Outstanding.  Let's see if he starts the first playoff game.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't with two more weeks of rest.

Pretty awesome to see him come in. Loved to hear Phil Simms choke on it. I did feel bad for Osweiler. All those turnovers weren't on him. I hope they aren't but I think the Bronco's are one and done in the playoffs. If it was anyone but San Diego, they would have got beaten bad yesterday. How does a team play like that if they know that a win gives them #1 seed? AFC is pretty weak. NFC has more good teams this year. How would you like to play Seattle first game of playoffs? And they are a 6 seed. As far as them playing better with him in there, it sure looked like it. But they stunk it up in most of the first 9 games with him starting. But they won. I thought Osweiler won the job with his performance against Cincy. Elway is in a no win situation. If he they leave Osweiler in and they lose, they will say "you should have put Manning in". If he puts Manning in and they lose, they will say" you should have left Osweiler in". It doesn't matter. The only reason they are where they are at is because of their defense, not because of Peyton or Osweiler. The defense has covered up all of the offenses warts this year.

How did New England lose to the Dolphins?  And lose 4 of their last 6?  The Broncs will fing destroy them.

And for all the talk of the NFL being professional and not having the same emotion as college, on Mike and Mike this morning there was a discussion of how divisional rivals love to ruin their opponents season.  One Buffalo fan tweated that keeping the Jets out of the playoffs was just as satisfying as Buffalo being in.  How did the Jets lose to Buffalo when a win puts them in?  San Diego and Denver absolutely loathe each other.  This was the playoff game for San Diego, I don't care what anyone says about the NFL being mercenary and not GAS, that goes out the window when it's a division rivalry, and the players would not be in the NFL if they were not very competitive.

They even discussed how Tampa Bay might have rolled over for Carolina after hearing that Arizona was losing badly.  Beating Carolina thus changed nothing, and so they had nothing to play for.
