Title: Just saw a report about the kid from Memphis decommitting. Sounds like he was Post by: volsboy on January 19, 2016, 06:37:43 EST upset at the lack of communication. Hope his decision works out for him. Could be he saw no playing time right away. I think he is a LB.

The Summer he'd be on his own dime and then in the Fall be on scholarship. Kid said no.

Sounds like he was Post by: HerbTarlekVol on January 20, 2016, 06:24:34 EST He was asked to blueshirt, which means delaying enrolling from June to the fall semester, but he would have gone on scholarship as soon as he arrived and count towards next year's class. He didn't like the idea.
And he was going to redshirt in 2016 either way. He missed most of this past season with an injury and isn't going to be ready to play. My take is that it is probably a good thing that the staff found out that the kid is inflexible before he got here. If he wasn't willing to do that, then perhaps it is just best for all parties involved that he doesn't come to UT. |
