Title: What do you think of Titans signing DeMarcco Murray? I can only see it helping.

They need a run game to take some pressure of Mariotta.

As long as they fix the offensive line in the offseason, it will be a great move. If not then it'll be more of the same.

If they do not fix the OL problems (if you cannot block 'em, hold on tight!! is the Titans battlecry), it will not matter who plays RB. Also Mariotta will not last the year until they find a decent tackle that can actually play. I hope this GM values talent over signing linemen for minimum league salary. I do not hold out hope because it will not matter when you have a head coach that has only had one team with a winning record and overall is a big time loser. So get ready to be disappointed again next year Titan fans. Old Loser Mike rides again.

IMO, good pickup....but the Titans have so many issues I'd hate to be the one in charge of their draft day. OL is a major issue....need WRs that can play more than 2 games without being on the IR list (much like UT's WRs). Defensive backfield has been pitiful and a lot of that is no pressure from the defensive front.

Their punt game and field goal kicker is pretty good......So there's that

Fan support is declining....I know folks that have been ticket holders since day 1 that have cancelled their season tickets. The whole organization is a total cluster. :bird:

I don't know why more teams don't go with the bellicheat system of managing a salary cap.  Pay top dollar for a QB and hold on to him.  Pay top dollar for lines on both sides, build a strong defense.  But skill players on offense are a dime a dozen.  Are they injured?  Waive em and get some more.  Salary demands too high?  Trade em and get some more.

Honestly RBs and WRs in the NFL don't matter nearly as much these days.  Pretty much a surplus on the market.

That isn't to say that a Adrian Peterson or Calvin Johnson can't be difference makers...they can, but that is not the norm anymore by far, and although the Vikings almost made the Super Bowl this year, teams that depend on players like that really don't seem to be long term winners anymore, for any position other than QB.

Now, has the league constantly gamed the rules to favor QBs?  Absolutely!  But it is what it is.

In today's NFL, I'd never spend big money on any RB over 25 years old.  For one thing, their average shelf life is shorter than any other player on the field.  And many times, they can lose it from one year to the next without warning.  Remember Ladanian Tomlinson?  One year he looked like he was on track to break every career rushing record.  The next, he looked like me out there.  Also, the importance of the RB position is as diminished as it has ever been in the NFL.  There were only two taken the first round last year, and there may not be any this year.  It's a passer's league right now.
