Title: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... Post by: Black Diamond Vol on July 31, 2016, 06:07:22 EDT Thanks to rain delays, the current leader just completed his third round. I'm sure he'll hang on for the win- because as I understand it, he's DY-NO-MITE!

Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... Post by: HerbTarlekVol on July 31, 2016, 07:15:17 EDT And they are playing lift, clean, and place in the final round. That's just not right. That's something you do at The Colonial or the Hartford Open.
Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... Post by: Black Diamond Vol on July 31, 2016, 07:34:54 EDT I guess the addition of golf to the Olympics this year kind of forced the move. And it's a Ryder Cup year, too. So the late-season calendar is pretty full.
I was really looking forward to seeing Golf in Rio until all the best players pulled out. Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... I'm sure the Olympics had something to do with it, but I still don't like it. More than just golf are turning in to a dud with the issues Rio is having. Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... Post by: Black Diamond Vol on August 01, 2016, 01:16:26 EDT Sheesh. WTH was Walker thinking? LAY UP, FOOL! :banghead:
Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... Post by: Black Diamond Vol on August 01, 2016, 01:29:32 EDT Glad to see the 'Murican win, but I'm really pulling for Jason Day to break through and win one of these soon. Hopefully against some douchebag like Ian Poulter. :bird:
EDIT: I forgot that he won it last year. So nevermind. Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... Post by: HerbTarlekVol on August 01, 2016, 03:00:26 EDT Sheesh. WTH was Walker thinking? LAY UP, FOOL! :banghead: Walker is fortunate that he survived that brain fart. And that was pure clutch for Day to eagle 18 to give himself a chance. It's really hard not to like the guy. Post by: Tnphil on August 01, 2016, 03:53:00 EDT Couldn't believe he went for the green there....7 iron layup then a sand wedge to 15 feet. Glad he won.

Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend... Post by: HerbTarlekVol on August 01, 2016, 07:03:50 EDT Being an Uh-mur-eh-kun I always pull for the homeboys to win The Masters, US Open, and PGA Championship because it is on our own soil.
But I do like Day a lot, my second favorite non-American golfer behind Miguel Angel Jimenez. As I posted earlier in this thread, it's hard not to like Day. He's a good guy, a hell of a golfer, and genuinely appears to appreciate the opportunity to live and earn a great living in the United States. As for Miguel Angel, anybody who likes big fat cigars, red wine, and single malt whiskey the way he does just has to be a good guy. :naughty: Title: Re: I had completely forgotten they moved the PGA Championship up to this weekend...
