For his part, Barnett insists he's not chasing records. He'd rather follow White's path of beating Alabama on his third try. The rest can sort itself out later.

You just don't get players and people like him very often.....Worst thing about having a Derek Barnett is having him leave.

He will definitely be missed.  Reminds me of Al.  And don't ask "Al Who?"  :naughty:

When Al was 14 years old I helped a buddy of mine coach his baseball All-Star baseball team one Summer.....Al was a competitor at 14 years old...almost to a fault. At that age competitor comes with a temper....a not nice temper. Al was a very good baseball player.

Cool.  I met him at the last home bammer game in 2014.  He was at the athletic dept tailgate right next to Tony's (TROs) family tailgate.  Definitely the leader of the 98 D.
