Gruden will be a coaching no show. So will there be a big name hire any rabid UT fan can get behind. Will fans blame Currie if all big names say No? Doesn't mean he still can't end up at UF, though.
Personally, he doesn't scare me as much as he used to. His no-huddle offense really turned CFB on its ear a few years ago, but I think defenses have caught up to an extent. The rule instituted a few years back that allows defenses time to sub out whenever the offense does also played a big part. Plus, he has some personal issues that can be exploited in recruiting. Butch wasnt a terrible coach, just very medicore. It could be worse. In fact it already has. Butch as we all know was a terrible game say coach, but he was an excellent recruiter , a good organizer, and his teams almost always seemed motivated. We could do worse, and may very well. Note that I'm not laughing... |
