That is, the folks investigating basketball would just automatically pick up on football cheating because "the same people are doing it".
I disagree strongly. The people running the basketball programs, and the people arranging for the players (third parties like WW Wes) likely have little to no affiliation with football. The only potential connection I can see is prominent alums providing money for both. But the FBI investigation is largely focused on agents and coaches from what I can tell. I'm sure alumni are involved, but they don't seem to be the main focus. I think the only way the massive cheating going on at programs like bammer gets caught is with a similar investigation focused on football. Just my $0.02. Having said that, it might be happening.
