I'm back to thinking they have to give him time barring something unprecedented like 0-12 or 2-10. If he is fired there we go again. I'm old enough to remember Johnny Majors era. It was quite a roller coaster. 0-6 to start in 1988, for example. Year 12.

I think he is a very fine young man, but his on the field issues are bad. I really wonder if the guy hasn't been hit so hard, so much that he has been ruined. Or maybe it will click for him like it did Crompton.

Not gonna happen because it appears the staff wants to redshirt him, and I don’t hold out great hope of him being a better option...he would’ve shown it in practice, I think. But sometimes it doesn’t hurt to shake things up a bit. I heard Pruitt say the offense wasn’t the problem against GaSt...well, I guess technically the O played well enough to win, but playing good enough to beat GaSt’s D isn’t something worth writing home about. Aside from those 2 TD droves in the first half, the O only looked good in spurts and couldn’t finish drives.

Shrout got 3 times the reps that Maurer did and 2 times the reps Gitmo did. Would be interesting if that was the same today? JG will start but I wonder what kind of leash he'll be on? The opportunity to forge a dynasty for 20 years was in 2001, and it was squandered. Ain't easy getting off the mat :banghead: |
