I'm going hiking, but feel to post the scintillating highlights here.

In reality today is a no win situation, no matter what happens. 

Bad pass #1

It's Chattanooga but a good first series by the two FR OL members
Darnell with nice power blocking and Wayna with a nice seal block for the TD

14-0 - with the tally still at 1 bad pass (in 1 attempt)

They let Shrout throw the ball.... up 35

Henry T has a chance to be an All American someday.

Let’s just hope he’s still at UT when that happens.

Thoughts on Shrout and Mauer?

Maurer has nice upside, very raw
Shrout is not good at this point

Hard to tell.  Didn't really see either of them running with full first team with the offense full fledged open.  

Athletically Maurer is superior.  He moves in the pocket well and pulls it down and runs it with success.  

Shrout is more of a pocket passer/gunslinger.  

But like I said, we really didn't see either of them in full package mode today.

Did the OL have a group that functioned well? Presumably a number of combinations were tried.

Unfortunately that’s the new reality in the era of the transfer portal. You have to continue recruiting your players for all four years. Especially someone like him, who was apparently looking around shortly before the season even began. If things continue to go south and we have another coaching change in the offing, he may not stick around.

He was homesick back in the Summer which is understandable being 2,500 miles from home.....I'm sure starting has cured that.

Yeah, just cause he was was homesick then doesn't mean he's a goner.

Correct.  Also the sun will not suddenly wrench out of it's orbit and scorch the Earth, destroying all life in the process.  But BDV is probably up late tonight, worrying about that.   :naughty:
