Hate to see that for Franks. That was gruesome. Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Tnphil on September 15, 2019, 03:36:10 EDT Ugly looking for sure.
Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Coupe De VOL on September 15, 2019, 03:37:56 EDT I thought it looked like it was bent obscenely, but thank goodness I was mistaken. Maybe it was a hyper extension...looked like a lot of pain. Sometimes you can come out of those with not too much damage

Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Creek Walker on September 15, 2019, 03:54:00 EDT This backup has a better arm than Franks.....Figures Trask was a 2-star who only had 1 major offer. And he looks like an All-SEC QB on that first drive. Who would've thunk it? Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Tnphil on September 15, 2019, 04:23:05 EDT Trask was a 2-star who only had 1 major offer. Proves college coaches are overpaid PE teachers. What the heck was Mullen's thinking? Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Creek Walker on September 15, 2019, 04:38:28 EDT Trask comes off the bench cold and has looked better than I've ever seen Franks look. Proves college coaches are overpaid PE teachers. What the heck was Mullen's thinking? He looked great on the first drive, but looked pretty average after that, and I think a lot of his early success was because UK went into a shell defensively. I mean, he played well enough to lead his team back to an improbable victory, so he gets credit. I'm just not sure he's that great. But, with our history against Florida...yeah, he'll be SEC Offensive Player of the Week after next week's game. Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: BanditVol on September 15, 2019, 04:40:06 EDT Is it too soon to predict that Trask will pass for 300 yards next week? Hate to see that for Franks. That was gruesome. He looked good tonight. I hate that Felipe got injured, that was rough to watch. I mean, for his sake. But I hate it even more for our sake. Whatever slender thread of hope I have for victory was in large part based on my opinion that Franks is hot garbage. From what I saw tonight, Trask will be a tougher matchup. With our lack of pass rush....He'll throw from Gainesville to Key West next week. :powert: Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Creek Walker on September 15, 2019, 04:50:31 EDT With our lack of pass rush....He'll throw from Gainesville to Key West next week. :powert: Our pass rush hasn't been completely non-existent. Granted, we haven't played a team like Florida yet...but this Florida OL isn't as strong as some Florida OLs of years past. Kentucky pushed them around a little bit, and that Kentucky DL isn't exactly a bunch of world-beaters. Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Tnphil on September 15, 2019, 05:09:55 EDT KY's problem is they went into a shell on offense in the 3rd quarter. Got way to conservative way to early and it bit them in the azz. FL outscored them 19-0 after Franks went out.
Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Creek Walker on September 15, 2019, 05:45:37 EDT KY's problem is they went into a shell on offense in the 3rd quarter. Got way to conservative way to early and it bit them in the azz. FL outscored them 19-0 after Franks went out. Absolutely! Stoops beat himself. Then he has a chance to win the game and settles for a 40-plus-yard field goal. Shades of Lane Kiffin vs. Alabama in 2009. I was yelling at the TV on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down. I was 100% certain he would miss the kick...and he did. Title: Re: Looks like they just Theismanned Franks leg Post by: Coupe De VOL on September 15, 2019, 02:55:15 EDT I thought that UK QB was hurt...after he threw that INT and hurt his hand, he could not throw the ball at all

Maybe so, but a key to Florida's comeback was an interception on a deep throw late in the game when UK might actually have been better off running it. Agree that UK should have tried harder for the TD than settle for the FG though. Kicker was young, either true or RS frosh.
