Hard to gauge much, we played a lot of people

Turner and Bowden look great, and I expect they will lead us in scoring.
JJ is a little off on his shot, but he is smooth, will have lots of assists. Big kid too. I expect he will be our PG soon, he is a natural at it. 7-8 assists tonight, about 10 points.
I like what I saw from Kent, both offense and defense (interior). Overall this team will be tough to score on inside due to our length - Kent, Pember, Gaines, and Fulky all have serious length
Fulky and Pons will play - they are both physical and rebound. Pons is moving better, and looks more like he is playing basketball.
Jalen Johnson will be a spark off the bench, he can hit the three. Looked more aggressive on rebounding as well.
Pember and Gaines played well. I like what I saw from Pember, Gaines looked a little out of sorts offensively, but can play defense on a PG. Pember got hurt late, looked like a sprained ankle.
Not really sure where we get consistent offense if Turner or Bowden are off. Fulky did look like he is more of an offensive threat Maybe JJ but tonight his shot is off.
Olivier N has a bright future.

Offensively this is not going to be a halfcourt pound it inside offense. There is no Grant Williams on the team. They will look to run and score more in transition.
Defensively I really like this team.

Really need Plavsic to be eligible.

Yep...we need a big body down low. We are going to be hurting in that area.

JK, looking forward to another great Bball season. I am going to try to go to a home game this year, first time since I was an undergrad, the best i can recall. The only live Vol BBall game I have attended since the late 80s was an SEC Tourney game in Atlanta in the Pearl era.  Actually two games on consecutive days. 

But admit it, isn't it great to not have to look forward to Bball because football suxes?  This is the first time in 2-3 seasons I am actually looking forward to the end of the year.  I definitely was in 2016, but that's exactly when it all unraveled for Jones.

Well that sucks. We need him bigtime.

He will be cleared IMO prior to the first real game

He's the only real post player we would have. If he isn't cleared we become more of a speed it up transition team.
