Title: Where JG actually rates in the SEC

Eighth, which sounds about right to me.  Interesting note, Kentucky is not included, I am guessing because no UK QB has the minimum pass attempts to be rated, lol.

8th...maybe not good enough to win the SEC, but definitely not 14th as some would say.

And yeah, I know the ratings don't cover "the intangibles", and those are important, but at the end of the day I am very glad we are not stuck with Vandy's QB.   :powert:

Holy Cow. Have you watched the Ole Miss freshman qb Plumlee? I was watching LSU and Ole Miss. He was as impressive as Burrows. Ole Miss has 66 frosh on their roster. I couldn't believe the athletic talent they have. They are better than their record indicates. They tore up LSU's defense. They are going to get over their scholarship reductions in fine form. Why does it seem we can't get that type of athlete any more? Back in the day, we used to have them all over the field.

Um, they can't have 66 frosh.  Did you mean 26?

We do have that type of athlete.  Jennings, Bituli, Calloway, Smith, Morris, Taylor, Wright, maybe a few others.

Lol. Thinks he is so deceptive and Vol "friendly". Total goofball.

Love Ole Miss offense....Rich Rod has the offense going. They had over 400 yards against LSU

As far as Plumlee....he was committed to UGA. Then Kirby asked him to blue shirt and Plumlee then de-committed from UGA and signed with OM. Kid is a player.

Ha, Kirby keeps losing QBs, and I think Fromme is a bit overrated.  Looking forward to seeing how they do the rest of the way.

you are probably right. I was just going by what I heard on the broadcast of the game. He may have said underclassmen that have started in the last year or two. Anyway, their young talent is really good. I think Ole Miss had 614 yards of offense vs LSU.

They had 614 yards actually.

He may be over rated, but he ran off one Heisman candidate (OSU) and another qb that is one of the best in the PAC (Wash.) and Plumlee at Ole Miss. Damn he sucks. How many games has he lost at UGa? Maybe 5 or 6.

It was over 400 yards rushing against LSU...Left the rushing out. Ole Miss offense is currently 28th in the nation....Their rushing offense is 9th in the country.

Well no, exactly.  He "ran off".  I think you mean Kirby picked Fromme over Fields, and has been (IMO inordinately) praised by the talking head types for his decision.  I don't know what it is about Fromme, the announcers seem to work themselves in a lather.  Yes, he has only lost 5 or 6 games at Uga.  Where he is surrounded by a ton of future NFL talent.  Allegedly best Oline in the country, at least one first round WR, probably all NFL WRs, NFL-caliber first or second round running backs.  Easy to look good and win wiht all that other talent around you. Reminds me of AJ Mccaron, probably the most overated QB in SEC history.  Was an arrogant little shizzle, hasn't done squat in the NFL because the talent at bammer actually carried him.

For that, Fromme is in fact a good QB, but from what I have seen not anywhere near as good as Fields, not sure about Eason haven't paid attention to him as much.  Yeah, he hasn't lost much, but he did throw three picks vs Junior, pretty much handing the game to them, and I have not been impressed with his play watching him this year.  At least, not from the lavish praise the talking heads heap on him.  He's pretty good but I think Fields is night and day better, and that ole Kirby screwed the pooch on that decision.

It does look like it's going to turn out that way for old Kirby. I just hope the Vols can recruit at least one qb of that caliber very soon. The more I watch Pruitt the more I see the method to his madness. After our first few games, I was scared we might lose 10 or so games. He has done an unbelievable job. We ain't going to be an easy out for anyone the rest of the season. Go defense.
