BetMGM has the line at A&M -7.5.

They must know something that we don't.  There must be key players out with the virus.

The low line probably means that some band members are going to have to fill in for the regulars (even the band members could complete the slant route against our defense).

Remember when it was rumored that Jimbo might be interested in leaving Florida State for the Tennessee job? And UT fans, in all our self-righteous wisdom, didn't want him.

Now Texas A&M is in contention for a playoff spot and we're talking about how badly we're gonna get drummed on Saturday.

That's just for the first half. After our guys get their weekly halftime meth fix, that number will rise significantly.

Yeah but the jury was definitely out on Jimbo coming into this season, and who is to say he hasn't benefited this year from Covid?  It's true that right now they look like the third best team in the SEC, but the jury is out until end of the season I think.

Florida had some player out to Covid when they played and (infamously) Tamu had almost a full crowd.  Will be interesting to see how they play down the stretch.

Well I guess my overriding point is that we passed up a head coach with proven P5 experience because he wasn't good enough, while settling for an unproven coordinator. Actually, two of them. We could've probably had Mullen if we had moved fast enough ... I'm not terribly disappointed because I can't stomach the guy, but I'm pretty sure I'd feel differently if he were ours (just like I'd take Urban Meyer in a heartbeat).

As a fan base we've thumbed our noses and acted like we're still a college football blueblood when we're not. We have blueblood traditions, we have blueblood history, blueblood fan support and blueblood facilities, but we haven't done anything meaningful since today's college prospects were in diapers. And this passing over of coaches because they aren't good enough for us goes all the way back to when we didn't go get Gary Patterson. (I realize some people would point to Greg Schiano and say it's a symptom of the same problem...I'm not willing to go quite that far yet.)

Well at this point definitely even an underperforming Fisher likely would be better than Pruitt, but I never thought we had a realistic chance of landing him at that point. I dont think he was quite ready to make the jump. And IMO that was the issue, not any lack of interest on our part.

No doubt there were some saying we didnt need him, but given a choice between him and Pruitt I dont think anyone would have picked Pruitt.
