Having said that, I am not a fan of one-and-done players on our basketball team. I do not think that is the recipe for championships, which is what I hope for our program. Next year we get Chandler. He’s an incredible guard and will be fun to watch, but he’s almost definitely here for one year and then he’s gone. That’s no way to build teams that have continued success, imo. Obviously that's a totally different argument against one-and-done than the recipe for championships, but it is another aspect of it. While Keon and Springer always played hard and gave effort, one-and-done athletes will never have the buy-in to the university and the program that kids like Fulky, Grant, and Admiral had.
