If you thought he was primarily a perimeter threat- he has 25 points today, with only one 3 pointer. He’s also been fouled approximately 1000 times, virtually all of which went uncalled. Probably our best player in traffic since Tyler Smith.
Colorado was pretty good last year. I don’t know how good they are this year, but still- this is our first true road game, and it’s at a mile+ altitude. On another note, I was looking at Powell's shooting stats. I really think that Powell needs to be productive for this team to be as good as they can. Having said that, he is not shooting a high enough percentage against the better teams. Against UT Martin, ETSU, and Presbyterian he was 14/21 from the floor (11/14 from the arc). He did not play against Tennessee Tech. Against Villanova, UNC, and Colorado he was 7/22 (1/12 from the 3). |
