Title: Well, oldest son was just accepted to Tennessee for the class of 2026

Not sure we can afford it with out of state, but really happy today!!

Congratulations!

Too bad that out of state tuition isn't like it was when I went there in 1970. I rode the horse and buggy through the mountains and my tuition, dorm and meal plan were not much more than staying in SC for college.  :old:

I don't recall my in-state tuition in 1985, but it was such that my 2K/yr schollie covered it. IIRC, it was under around $400-500 per quarter for tuition, and total dorms and meal plan for the year was ~ $2000.  So the full cost in state was around $35000 per YEAR. 

The times have changed for sure.
