Title: They asked Lunardi why Tennessee was a no 3 and not 2
Post by: BanditVol on March 14, 2022, 01:09:05 EDT
He said that late games in the tourney rarely affect seeding. Interesting observation.

Regardless, its ridiculous that UK is a 2 and we are a 3.  That's brand name recognition, pure and simple.  We were 2-1 against them, beat them later in the season, and had a tougher schedule with more quality wins.

Beat them TWICE late in the season, the 2nd time on a "neutral" court

A close friend of mine says that everything but the last 8 teams is completed by Valentine's Day. 🤔🤣😂

That explanation actually makes more sense to me than anything else that I've heard.

That's because the brackets are mostly finished on Saturday. If UT lost, they could say that their overall record justified the three spot. If UT won, they would justify it by the pre-tourney record, which is BS but what are you going to do?

Either way, there was no way UT was moving off of the three.

Auburn is a overall 5 seed....KY with a 6....and UT with a 10 seed. That is bullcrap.

Just win.
