All of the suspended players are true freshmen and two of them are serving their second suspension of the season.

A $50 million contract is not $50 million unless specific criteria are met. The money isn't coming from the schools. It's coming from the private sector and companies that want players to represent them. See the new Ced Tillman deal. He's not being paid by UT. A contract for NIL is likely drawn up as "upon completed [specified activity] player gets [specified fund], and there are a whole lot of those. They don't just get a blank check. |
