Wow the wheels are coming off down there for sure.  Might be a situation like 2016 was for us going on.

Jimbo's offense reminds me of that old joke....he couldn't score in a women's prison with a stack of pardons.

Maybe the ballyhooed NIL deals weren't such a great deal for TAMU. All of the suspended players are true freshmen and two of them are serving their second suspension of the season.

I am not a fan of the NIL money. A lot of schools are going to spend a lot of money on busts. What if your big NIL player is a bust. Who eats that bad investment?

Texas A&M is only 17th so far this year on Rivals.  They only have 12 commitments and plenty of time to move up, but still, it's interesting.

It's not the school spending the money. I don't understand it fully, but it ain't the school... Or isn't supposed to be the school.

I'm assuming the big NIL deals are back loaded & heavy with incentives like in pro sports. A $50 million contract is not $50 million unless specific criteria are met.

The person/business investing in the player, obviously. The money isn't coming from the schools. It's coming from the private sector and companies that want players to represent them. See the new Ced Tillman deal. He's not being paid by UT. He's being paid by Zaxby's.

I was on Jimbo's side during the riff with Satan, but it appears his time has come and gone.

I will forever love Jimbo for having the testicular fortitude to stand up to Saban's bullying with the ferociousness that he did. But, yes, he's definitely one of the biggest under-achievers in the business.

Saw it posted on another site that is spot on...

"Apparently money can buy players but it can't buy character."

Droner talks about this somewhere below.  A contract for NIL is likely drawn up as "upon completed [specified activity] player gets [specified fund], and there are a whole lot of those.  They don't just get a blank check.
