again expecting a different outcome. You see it time & time again where crowd noise creates untimely procedure penalties. Happened to bama in Neyland. Happened to UT yesterday. You see it in the NFL. Over & over in big games. I'm disappointed we seemingly had no plan. Imo you get to the line. You set. You snap. Only way to combat that level of crowd noise. That would eliminate the line shift that Georgia was doing to. Also, you can't audible in that noise. Don't even try! Years ago I remember Auburn & Terry Bowden of all people went into the swamp and won. They decided before the game to go with the play called/no audibles. Oh well. People make millions & keep doing the same shizzle must be a reason.  :pin:

What disappointed me the most I think is that by the second half UGA was timing the snap almost perfectly and we did nothing to adjust. Just let them pin their ears back and hit Hooker over and over.

I will say this. Obviously Heupel has experienced games like that as a player but as a coach it was his first time in a truly raucous environment. This is just his second year as a P5 head coach. Clearly he was I’ll prepared for yesterday but if he’s half the coach we think he is, he will learn from that and be better for it.

Agree 100%...There were things/plays we could have called and done better to slow down UGA's onslaught...I think Heupel will learn from it.

UGA has the blueprint to stop our offense and they have the studs to execute it. After the 1st quarter last year where we shocked them early they shut us down with the blueprint...Other teams will see and read the blueprint and hopefully they can't execute it.

And....We have got to get a running game and find...recruit...steal...invent a stud RB. Our RBs run hard but just don't have what we need. UGA pinned their ears back and made our lives miserable yesterday.

I think we planned for this, but our plan did not work, obviously.  Probably for a myriad of reasons - not a good enough plan to begin with, poor execution, better plan from UGa to put us on our heels

A couple of things
To the receivers we used a lot of hand signals
To the line and RB we tend to use verbal signals
The noise (though they CHEATED like hell on the noise) slowed our signals down and the linemen , especially Wright, got antsy and reacted to their late shifts, and other movements
The OL needs better discipline and I guarantee Ellerbe will harp on that a LOT

The noise and cheating:
They constantly were showing db meter readings during our possessions
They were hitting upwards to 130
However, when the scoreboard speakers weren't transmitting NOISE the readings were in the 110-115 range
A lot of that noise was from the stadium speakers!
How do I know this?
I was standing more or less in front of them

I have not checked to see if true? But I read this morning that UGA has 25 five stars and UT has two.

It’s true. Wright and McCoy are our only 5*s. But when you add in the 4*s, it gets even more more pronounced, with UGA holding a 70-something to 20-something advantage. That’s why we’re going to have to be a little patient. It’s going to take at least 2-3 elite recruiting classes to consistently compete on that level. And again- we’re likely to take a step back next year, because we’re losing a TON of 4, 5, even 6 year guys. But they’re gradually being replaced by younger, more talented players. It’s just going to take some time to get them up to speed.

Right. I fully expect to take a step back next year.
