Title: Another "milestone" of sorts Post by: BanditVol on December 06, 2022, 05:45:08 EST Late getting to this, but prior to our last game, over the last 10 games we were 5-5 with Vandy. I think we can all agree how unacceptable THAT is, thank goodness its at least 6-4 now. And three in a row. Here's to getting to (at least) 50 in a row! :beer: :powert:

Before that debacle of a decade, how far back do you have to go to find 5 losses to Vandy????? 1959! They beat us '59, '64, '75, '82 (ouch - Johnny's only loss), and '05 (Fulmer's only loss) AND, how far back do you have to go to find Vandy beating us 5 out of ten tries?????? 1921-1931. No game in '24. Just sickening. the last decade + is our worst since Neyland showed up in 1926 (I think?) In fairness, Franklin was the best coach they have had in a long time (also a d*ck with ears, but good coach by vandy standards) and Derek Mason also pretty good. So one of their best runs. But there is an inverse relationship between the two. Man that first stat is just mind blowing. It took 54 years to get 5 wins, then only a decade. :hurl: :hurl: :hurl: |
