My password was hacked on August 3 and some spam was sent out from my account.  Due to this, I am now under a "lifetime ban". In spite of sending evidence to twitter that my account was hacked, including emails showing it was logged into from Illinois and Michigan, from an iPhone (I use only Droids) Twitter won't back off.

Just because I am stubborn, and the suspension is not fair, I have persisted, and it pisses me off that Twitter has been so intractable on this.

Having said that:

1. I am a very casual user of Twitter.
2. I don't particularly care for it.
3. I won't miss it.
4. It may even be for the good!  That's 10-20 minutes a week I actually spend on there that I can put to better use!
5. They have a declining member base anyway, although I actually favor and support what Elon has done.
6. My old account was very obscure, and likely I can get another account anyway.

Um it ain't Twitter anymore. It is "X" and I would have figured King Elon would have cleaned up that sort of mamby pamby commie shizzle!  :biggrin: I honestly can't tell a nickels worth of difference since he took over. Well Trump is back, and they did delete an old account of mine that I no longer had access too, that they previously would not delete. Otherwise, nothing new under the sun.

It's X, but the emails still say Twitter, and everyone still calls it twitter.

Ya, I thought it had improved also.  The issue isn't that my account was suspended....it did send out some spam and per the rules that is the basis of a lifetime ban.  The issue I have is that their help desk sucks ass.  No phone calls, no emails, just an impersonal form.  I get instant responses that my account is suspended, case closed, whenever I try to re-open it or show why it should not be suspended.

Here is my conspiracy theory...just prior to suspension, I called several people "fizzleing morons" in some political discussions. I suspect the censors are on the other side of that.  If so, then no, Elon has not yet cleared out all the snowflake commies.   :naughty:

I'm not.  It's all good. The board is what it is. The politics of the country are what they are. I have zero doubt things are not on a good trajectory. This much is not in dispute.  :frown:  :powert:

I don't think anyone would disagree with you, least of all me. But we do have a Politivol...you can knock yourself out over there.  :cool:
