Title: Big 10 commish pulls a fast one Post by: BanditVol on November 17, 2023, 03:43:20 EST https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38914714/michigan-jim-harbaugh-accepts-big-ten-3-game-suspension
Michigan fans and the University itself have been loudly complaining about Harbaugh's suspension, but I think the Commissioner has been pretty clever. Think about it. 1. Michigan does fine without Harbaugh on the sideline. They did well earlier this year, and again on Saturday. 2. The players are actually motivated by it 3. It makes it look like the Big 10 has acted and is "being tough". 4. However the suspension is only for the remaining regular season. 5. It (most significantly) does NOT affect the postseason (and the millions the Big 10 will rake in) and helps head off any move by the NCAA No wonder UM has accepted it. Its a good deal, actually! Title: Re: Big 10 commish pulls a fast one Post by: PirateVOL on November 17, 2023, 03:45:33 EST https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38914714/michigan-jim-harbaugh-accepts-big-ten-3-game-suspension And it ONLY applies to the games themselvesMichigan fans and the University itself have been loudly complaining about Harbaugh's suspension, but I think the Commissioner has been pretty clever.
