Title: Anyone think the 12 team playoff isn't going to be even more of a clusterf#$^? Post by: volsboy on January 01, 2024, 10:50:08 EST you have 5 conference winners plus highest ranked G5 team. Lets say UGa is SECC, they are one of the first 6 in. Now look at the SEC teams left that will want in the playoff...that leaves TN, OU, Texas, Bama, Mizzou, Ole Miss, LSU and any other SEC team that has good season. You know these teams will be competing to get in most years. But the other conferences will have some teams to consider too. How many of the final 6 spots will they let the SEC teams take up. Some fans heads will explode if the SEC gets 4-6 teams in. Then after the 12 teams are picked, the remaining bowl games will be even bigger jokes. Something to ponder. It all comes down to money and the big dogs in the SEC won't want to be left out.
