I did three deployments with 1/101st, so yeah, this years Army unis hit home. I had been with the 101st a total of 15 years, and ben in the back 40 of Fort Campbell to say that I've set in a patrol base in the thicket of woods on the left side of the shot at the 0:37 mark of the video, which happens to be the south end of Suchon DZ <3 I'm going to order a Jersey, I have to, I'm compelled at this point Title: Re: OH MAN! My wife and I have planned a vacation to Bastogne in 2026. I want to see the remnants of the fighting positions in Bois Jacques woods (506th, I know) and Foy. There is a huge monument you climb up that lays out the entire area a mile or two away. I was speechless. If you are going there, you should go to Lux to the American cemetery and see Pattons grave. A couple of Easy guys buried there. Skip Muck is one that comes to mind. I also drove to Malmedy. There is an EXCELLENT museum there right across from the field with a ton of period pieces.
