Not bad against a team of SC's caliber. I forgot to watch though.  Wish I had. I am thinking Caldwell is not back yet?

they gave a good effort but I saw about 8 shots that didn't come close to the basket. Not quite there yet. Need more talent, especially a big that can play

There will be 3 girls gone after this year and we will be better for it.

Something like 5 of the top 50 recruits in America incoming next year. The cavalry is on the way. :powert:

We've been saying that since Pat left us. The problem is that the elite programs have 12 of the top 50 players on their rosters yearly. It's hard to compete until we have a roster full of them. There are more good teams every year. It ain't easy? We can't pick and chose players like Pat used to be able to do. Different landscape today.

Do you know that for a fact?  I mean, how many "top programs"? There's only so many of those players to go around.

We've literally been saying the opposite since Pat left us. Recruiting was our major gripe with KC's two predecessors. Now, for the first time since Pat retired, we have a class coming in that is on par with some of her best. Will one class make us a title contender overnight? Probably not, but you can only fill your roster as scholarships come open. Stack another good class or two on top of this one, and we'll be right there with SC and LSU talent-wise.

Holly could recruit....she had several Mac D All Americans.....she just couldn't coach a lick.

You don't think SCar, UConn and the other elite programs don't have more top recruits from top to bottom every year. How many top classes do they get compared to the Vols the last 10 years. Talent is where we are lacking. Talent can cover up bad coaching...look at Calipari...lol Have the Lady Vols beat a team they shouldn't have beat yet? That would indicate good coaching?

Im just pointing out that you must fave flunked math. You can only really add about 5 players a year, unless you lose a lot to the portal.  So getting 5 top 50 in one year is literally the best you can do, and this is Caldwell's first full year. 

In other words, she is doing exactly what USC and LSU are doing, and there is no reason to think that won't continue.

Just so we are straight, the elite teams have better players all over the court. Hope those 5 coming in make all the difference. She was hired to beat SCar, LSU, UConn, Stanford..etc. What is your timeframe for her doing it?

First things first. Win a SEC title.

This year. Anything less than SEC and National Titles is unacceptable. In fact, with 40-0 off the table, this season is already an abject failure. Then our new coach has the chutzpah to take a day off to (checks notes) give birth. Who the hell does she think she is? She's already skating on thin ice, if you ask me.
