Tied 3-3 top of the 6th, no one on, two outs, vandy up, the count is 0-2. Pitcher throws a fastball strike, near top of wall, right fielder just misses catch for a triple.

I think, whew, almost a home run.

I also think, "why pitch a perfect strike on an 0-2 count?". Okay, sometimes it works cause the batter doesn't expect it. We survived. Get the next guy out, no worries.

Again, the count is 0-2. AGAIN, a perfect pitch up the middle! This time its a two run Homer off the top the scoreboard.

What. The. fizzle! Was our pitcher thinking? "They REALLY won't expect it this time?

Just next level stupid. Middle of strike zone in the sweet spot on 0-2 count with two outs in a tie game.

I just told my wife the exact same thing. I love CTV but sometimes I don?t get his timing.

I was thinking the same thing. And yelling at the TV.

On an 0-2 count, I pitch it in the dirt and maybe the batter gets anxious.
