Title: I'm sure there is some truth in what Klatt says here about Nico. Post by: volsboy on August 26, 2025, 08:10:51 EDT Still doesn't mean Klatt isn't a BIG homer. I agree this type of offense doesn't prepare a QB for the NFL like other offenses do. Never heard anything about this tampering crap. I don't see it.

Title: Re: I'm sure there is some truth in what Klatt says here about Nico Post by: EmerilVOL on August 30, 2025, 10:42:50 EDT First of all I have a few thoughts to share about Nico after watching his performance all of last years games.
(1) Nico got spooked quite quickly in several games and would either unload the ball in the general direction of a receiver. (2) Read of the defense and setup was not his strong suit overall. He was athletically talented, but there were times when the players were open but Nico could or would not find the open receiver. (3) long throws were often very flat which would make the pass uncatchable and over the heads of the receivers. Watch the Hooker passes in 2022 for a classic study of how to throw the long ball. (4) Fish out of water that maybe he just was not suited for the Southern football vibe. (5) Missed some autograph sessions according to some people. Unaware that was part of the job? Just think Nico was not a happy camper overall and some of the things that were happening were outside of his control, but he went MIA the weekend before the Arkansas game in 2024. |
