The last time the SugarVOLS were on campus I was at TRO's tailgate and spoke with a few of them. The center came up a few times. Chris White's pick and huge return was a great play as well I don't think Miami was ready for the VOL Nation Anybody that thinks the stadium takeovers is a recent thing go back and watch the Sugar Bowl replay (a much younger Pirate was there) I already posted about the entrance, it was deafening Also, listen to a couple of John's sack calls and see if there may be a similarity with the current calls. Title: Re: Marvin....Success revisited: Sugar Vols were smart and lucky Post by: Tnphil on October 10, 2025, 04:02:38 EDT I spent a month in New Orleans over 4 days at that Sugar Bowl  Got about 2 hours sleep per night and it took me 10 days to get over the trip when I got home. I went back for the Virginia game....I did less partying....much less drinking and a lot more sleeping. I learned my lesson in 85.
I will never forget going to a packed restroom at the half.....all UT fans except for 2 Miami fans. A UT fan said....Did all y'all Hurricane fans come together in a Volkswagen bus? The laughter in the restroom was almost as loud as the roar was when the Vols took the field... |
