Title: A way to keep all rivalries Post by: genemcever on October 06, 2011, 05:33:03 EDT We don't have to be wedded to current East/West thinking. If we split divisions another way, I'd be all for adding Missouri because it would make the Third Saturday a division game. The following setup preserves all significant rivalries:
In one division: Missouri Arkansas Kentucky Vanderbilt Tennessee South Carolina Alabama The other: Florida Georgia Auburn LSU Ole Miss Miss. St. A&M 1 permanent rival each: Alabama v. Auburn Missouri v. A&M Ole Miss v. Vandy Miss. St. v. Kentucky Arkansas v. LSU South Carolina v. Georgia or Florida Tennessee v. Georgia or Florida Title: Re: A way to keep all rivalries Post by: BanditVol on October 06, 2011, 07:32:52 EDT I like that split. On the rivalries, I think Florida is a bigger rival, but Georgia would be an easier game. So I could go either way on that.
If Florida is the rival, use the new split as an excuse to move the game to November. I hate playing them early in the year. But, yeah, lets play the crocs later i the season :dude:If Florida is the rival, use the new split as an excuse to move the game to November. I hate playing them early in the year. |
