Title: Looking ahead to USCe
Post by: PirateVOL on October 23, 2011, 06:03:46 EDT
Our defense should be able to play well against the lame chicken offense, especially with Lattimore out.

The question is,'can Simms exploit a vunerable lame chicken secondary? My belief is no.  We are running the ball better but Simms doesn't give memany confideNce he can keep the lame chickens from packing 8'in the box

I thought Worley was playing?

Not sure it matters.  Our current options at QB are pretty much bad and worse.

Simms did play better vs. bammer than LSU IMO, but that isn't saying much.  :frown:

Frankly, since Worley's RS is gone, I would start him.  Simms is a such a liability when he goes back to pass.  He stars down receivers and last night most passes where high or behind them.  The Gamecock secondary will have a field day with that dying duck pass.  See what Worley can do with a short, quick passing attack.  Last night, the RB was open in the flat almost all night, but Simms was so honed in down field he never looked. Start Worley.

Disagree to the extent that starting would be a lot of pressure.  Better I think to start Simms and then give him PT as his performance warrants.

You mean that same secondary that has 14 interceptions and is #5 in the country in that category?

Look, I'm not a Vol hater.  My kids went to UT and I pull for you when not playing SC.  But if you think our secondary is bad, go back and check the stats vs UGA.  If that's getting torched, I'll take it every week.  By the way, we beat UGA at UGA.............just sayin

South Carolina should win this game. It's hard to look at it on paper and find a reason why they WON'T win.

But South Carolina is also the most overrated team in the SEC right now.
