I'm not really sure, but I did go to the Penn State vs. Tulane Liberty Bowl game with my brother, father and cousin in December 1979.  My cousin was a Penn State student at the time.  It was cold with a drizzling/freezing rain, and we were treated to a 9-6 all FG game.  :banghead:  PSU won.

I went to Tennessee Tech homecoming when I was a little kid. Don't remember who they played. Dad is an alum.

I went to a few MTSU games... EKU, Morehead, TSU, maybe a couple more... when I was a student there but interestingly enough have never seen an Austin Peay game live even though that is my alma mater.

I also saw UT Martin and Morehead play in Martin the day I took my college visit to Martin.

Alabama beat Virginia Tech 77-6.  I hated them back then too.

Bear Bryant's last game - the '82 Liberty Bowl.  I also saw the Vols end 'the streak' that year vs Bama and even helped tear down the goalpost!

Probably Purdue's home opener in 1999, whatever that was (too lazy to look).

Looking forward to seeing a non-UT game this weekend.  By which I mean, I hope a different team, one that can play D like in the 3rd quarter last week shows up.

My very first college football game was 1982 Alabama vs Arkansas St. It was an attempt by my NW Alabama family to go to the dark side. They even lead me down to the edge of the field to look at the Bahr leaning against the goalpost. I started my Auburn fandom that very year.

My first game with no-SEC opponents was a UToledo vs Pittsburg (when Fitzgerald was there), in Toledo (got my MBA from there). UToledo won in the last minute; it was a great game.

My first was UTC vs....Somebody.  I don't remember.  I was student there and in the band, so I went to all the games.  The first big time game was Michigan at UCLA in 1995.  And I was shirtless and slathered in Maize and Blue. :hurl:  The story behind that: A couple of my Air Force friends from Michigan had gone to the UT/UCLA game with me the year before and painted themselves in Orange.  I promised I would reciprocate the next year. :dunno:

My very first college football game was when my older sister took me  (I was about 8 years old) to a Bama-Ga Tech game in Atlanta back in the 70s.  I still remember the "Bear" with his houndstooth hat and that Bama's players were much bigger and better than Tech's.
