Title: Everyone is invited to come here to South Dakota and enjoy the 74th Post by: volsboy on August 01, 2014, 10:02:19 EDT annual Black Hills Motorcycle Rallye in Sturgis. It officially starts Monday but things are already rumbling. Next year will be the 75th anniversary, which will make the Rallye a huge event. Plus you can go scope out Mt. Rushmore while you are here.

He came back and has been curled up in a fetal position in the corner ever since. Boy has never been the same since. :laugh:

But yes it's an overwhelmingly Harley crowd.

Stayed in Deadwood the last time there in mid-July years ago. Never made it to Sturgis, but went to Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, Badlands in both Dakotas. Although it was still a couple of weeks to go, a lot of Harleys were already touring through. It would have been hot on a bike, because it was hot outside, but not unbearable. That was the spring it had rained a lot so it was more green than normal in July. At least that is what the locals said.
