Title: General Observations
Post by: PirateVOL on September 14, 2014, 02:44:58 EDT
For the most part, friendly folks here in Oklahoma.  Spent a great deal of time conversing with many OU fans and they were great.  We had a good trip and even with the result of last night glad we made it.

Weather can change greatly and fast here

The middle name of #71 is "Hold"

For all the things that went wrong last night a lot of things went right and the future is bright.  The team fought HARD all night.  They took the fight to OU for 60 minutes, all you can really ask.  :patriot:

The defense played well for the most part with a few individual breakdowns.  We are very thin and an injury could derail the defense but what we have is very good.

The offense has a lot of holes, especially on the line but the staff found a way to move the ball against a darn good defense, even with a few key pieces out with injuries.

The stadium wasn't SEC level loud.  It was louder than Oregon last year but the Swamp, Auburn, Red Stick, Bamer are all louder than the Gaylord Family.

Go VOLS!! :powert:

The lack of holding calls on their O line was appalling.  UT played great, I thought, especially given the fact that 1/2 the team experienced their first road college game. There is hope there that this team is on the rise.
