I'm still a Windows guy in a lot of ways, LOVE LOVE LOVE my windows phone, I'm even one of those weirdos who loves Windows 8.1. I've got that Dell xps 12 laptop that is also a tablet... great system. And I still prefer the Windows filing system to Mac.
But for my photo needs, the Mac has blown my mind pretty much. It's not perfect, has its hangups too, but overall, it just works, it's insanely fast, very intuitive and being able to run Yosemite side by side with Windows (Parallel Desktop) is awesome. I have a couple of windows only programs I absolutely can't live without for my photo needs, so this is awesome. It's loaded, I mean... 32 gigs of RAM, quad core I7 blah blah, so comparing it to anything I've ever used before isn't fair. I'm sure a Windows machine with those spec would be a beast as well. But this machine is impressive, and the monitor is awesome.
