Title: Crowder in the game at critical times
Post by: Volznut on September 30, 2015, 02:12:20 EDT
has cost us.

He was in vs Oklahoma on the play right after TKJr's interception. The DT across from him beat him badly, and caused a huge loss.

He was in on the play when Dobbs fumbled and Gators recovered. The Gator DT overwhelmed him quickly, and then stopped/stripped Dobbs. gators score on the drive.

Take a looks at this video vs Oklahoma and tell me what he is doing on this play.

I'll be glad when Dooley guys are finally out of this team- they keep springing up and making bad plays.

That play against OU was so bad that I noticed it while watching the replay and replayed it several times.

He let's two...count them TWO...DTs in on the left side, which he doesn't seem to see.

What was he doing?  As far as I can tell he is looking to get upfield and block for Hurd, maybe hoping to help spring him for a TD.

But he really should look just a TAD to his left on that play, no?   :frown: :dielaughing:

And yeah, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  But hey, at least he didn't block one of our guys.   :naughty:

Its not Crowders fault Dobbs fumbled.

Its not Crowders fault Dobbs fumbled.

If he even gets in the way a little then they don't fumble because they don't get tackled by the DLineman

That is a classic example of the "Lookout Block".  LOOK OUT!  here he comes!

Dobbs putthe ball on the ground three times in that game, twice down field. Dobbs clearly had a problem holding on to the ball against Florida.

Dobbs has indeed put the ball on the ground quite a bit this year. I don't blame him for that particular one, he was blindsided and basically had no blocking on that side of the line.
