This is what we have to be careful to avoid. If we can't hire anyone but a retread who was fired at a lesser school because he couldn't win there, let's hang on to Butch. Fortunately, I don't think John Currie is any Joe Alleva. Troy would beat UMass by 20 plus.

LSU could've had most anyone they wanted. But the players wanted to keep Orgeron, and Alleva made the mistake of listening to them. Currie absolutely can NOT repeat that mistake. For all the talk about LSU talent, it really isn't any better than a typical Georgia or Florida team. Miles didn't get enough credit for holding it together.
