Appoint Brady Hoke as interim head coach, and start searching. Why Hoke? Because he has head coaching experience and is familiar with all the duties thereof... Doesn't mean that I'd support his as permanent head coach...

Plus, going the interim route gives two months instead of two weeks to make a hire. If Chip Kelly is get to turn us down he can do it this week. No harm done, move to the next guy. If it's an active coach you can sort things out with his agent before season's end. I'd let Larry Scott take over. He's done this before.
