The approach and departures are phenomenon, they seem almost vertical and makes the an us pucker They have ability to open the cascade reversers in flight (they have cascade and bucket reversers on the engines). When they do that, it mimics the space shuttle re-entry, even sounds somewhat like the shuttleFor a test once they descended from 39,000 feet to 500 feet (AGL) in <3 minutes. I understand that the new M models are much more reliable. But back when I was in the AF, they couldn't even fill a C-5 beyond 50% of its rated load for fear of the wings failing. That program has proven to be a huge money pit. :frown: |
