Title: It looks like it's conference games only this year.....
Post by: droner on July 10, 2020, 12:53:15 EDT
Notre Dame has a problem. The ACC has assured ND that it will help them out.

Quite frankly, I'll be surprised if there is any football this fall.

Sadly, I agree.   :frown:

If I had to bet I'd say no football.....If they do play I'd also bet it will be one screwed up season.

I read yesterday that ND will play a ACC schedule only....I'd tell them to stick it. They can play inter-squad games every Sat. and let NBC carry the scrimmages. :bird:

Still trying to figure out why a virus would differentiate between conference games and non-conference games. That’s one intelligent virus. But smarter men than I have been telling us for weeks that church goers are callous murderers while looting and rioting in the name of social “justice” is perfectly safe- virtuous, even- so what do I know?

If the SEC does this, I hope they’ll at least expand the conference schedule to 10 games or more.

The only thing I can think of is that it limits travel. If they play football they have to play conference games but I guess they don't have to play OOC games. Be interesting if they do play how it effects how the playoff will be determined.

I am a heavy lean toward there not being football at all. That is not my preference, just my feeling based on what I'm seeing and reading.

It is all BS. So they can travel for conference games and not for out of conference games? What is the difference of traveling to Norman or Tuscaloosa?  I can see no football this fall. I guess next is we can't be called the Volunteers because we killed Mexicans at the Alamo. I didn't spent 20 years in the Air Force to have my service disrespected.  We are becoming a nation of pussies. Damn, did I say that out loud? Sorry. I do not want want Covid 19 nor do I want to spread it. You guys that are way smarter than me or at least those that THINK they are way smarter than me..what is the answer?

With the case numbers being where they are now, sadly I don't see any college football this year. I wouldn't want a watered down season anyway or to put anyone at risk if this virus is as bad as they say it is.

Yep....And IMO, if they do play it will be a cluster flip and most likely the season will be halted mid stream.

Did you not know that this virus is intelligent and only affects people that the libturds want to be infected?  After all according to CNN not one case of COVID19 has been found in people that were a part of or attended BLM rallies.  But according to the CDC Black African Americans were in the group that had contracted the COVID 19 disease the most of any population group.  At first it was "wear a mask to protect yourself from getting the disease" and now it is "wear a mask to protect others from getting the disease"....oops if I am negative (and I am I was tested due to having to go to a hospital back in June) and I am not wearing a mask the only thing that I could do is get sick because I am not a carrier and I could not transmit it to others.  Sometimes it seems like science is not even on their radar.....oops radar is science so oh well I guess nothing will penetrate their socialistic BS.

The best explanation I've heard about no OOC games is it buys more time because most schools play OOC games the first couple weeks of the season....That applies to UT also. Not that is correct but it made as much sense as anything else I've heard.

I think they are trying to keep the "bubbles" smaller as well
Though at the end of the day my view is two fold:
1) the virus is going to run it's course, post the EXPECTED 2nd rise
2) too many people involved to prevent further cases

What you said is very true. But here in South Dakota, it is pretty much do as you please. On the other hand all these Patriots here exercising their freedom to contract and spread the disease is not smart either. I don't wear my mask as much as I should, but I do out of courtesy for others.
