Title: Last night was the 50th anniversary of the first night game at Neyland....

.....against Penn State. Vols won.

And I was there. It was my junior year.

50 years ago. Sheesh.  :old:

Was this game on network TV?  I kinda vaguely remember this, but I was 6 yo at the time.  I kinda remember watching COndredge play at night on the tee vee and the game was a big deal.  Did Holloway get hurt in this game?  I vaguely remember that as well.  I also remember my brother and I playing football in the yard the next day and we took turns pretending to be #7.

I was 6 also but  living in a different state, so I have no memory whatsoever.  

Fun fact, I met Condredge at a UT tailgate in Huntsville, though I can't quite recall what year it was, and when he found out I worked for MSFC, he told me all about how his mother had worked there. I also have a good friend at church that played DB with him at Huntsville High in the late 60s.  (Condredge was a 2-way player, naturally).

He was super nice and down to Earth in person.   :thumbup:
