Having said that, I think the NFL always thinks they can develop the (still somewhat raw) talent, or so it seems. It may have actually worked with Hurts, but rarely does. Also they emphasize the physical skills over actual stats, or so it seems. Even so, I would not be surprised to see him drop to the 2nd or 3rd round. However, it seems a late round flyer would be preferred to an early selection.
