That's the way I see it....I think we will score points and make UF keep up, which I doubt they can. I can't even name their WR group. However, this series has weird things happen, like center/qb exchange problems, a driving rain storm, special team problems, etc etc.

Not to sound like a know it all, but you will be able to see every UT game if you choose. With the new TV contract, each game for every SEC school is carried either on CBS, ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU), Fox Sports South, SEC Network (old Jefferson Pilot), and I believe CSS. Each school in the SEC is allowed only one PPV game. The Ga St game this year is the PPV game that UT determined. It will be available around the state and boarding states. All the rest of UT's games will be on the above mentioned networks.

I grew up watching UT but I think I really became a fan in about 1985 or so. I still remember the Sugar Bowl and how pissed I was when Miami scored first to go up 7 - 0 and Keith Jackson said something to the effect of "Here comes Miami". I was so glad we creamed them and they didn't score after that!

You gotta love these quotes:
After learning the hard way last season after injuries to both Justin Hunter and Tyler Bray, Tennessee was determined to be able to adjust to any possible situation this year, working on a number of contingency plans over the last eight months. Because of that meticulous preparation, the Vols feel comfortable moving forward without Rogers.
"I would say very minimal [catch-up is needed for the rest of the receivers]," Dooley said. "We have developed and planned, all through since January, for any contingency and I mean that. Whether it was Justin [Hunter], Da'Rick or Tyler Bray, so it is very minimal because the guys have gotten an inordinate amount of reps. Had somebody else, [Cordarrelle Patterson], gotten those reps, then we would have taken some reps from CP in other areas, so they really did the same. Really who it hurts is probably the eighth or ninth guy, not the third guy.

If we still had Hamilton as AD, then I might could see that...having Hart as the AD, I really don't see that happening. I think the name is a sexy pick, but he has to much baggage at every stop that he has made. You might think that he has learned his lesson, but can you really be sure? I just don't see UT going that route.
As far as the Rogers situation goes, I hate to lose him because I wanted to see what we could do with 3 GREAT receivers, but I would rather lose him before the season starts instead of 3 games into the season. At least now we can make plans to move on without him. Also, if the reports are true about his attitude and what he was like in the lockerroom, this may be a blessing and will bring the team closer.

Being a commercial real estate lender, I too will believe it when I see it. It is one thing to have an idea. It is another to make the economics work between rental rates, occupancy, and construction costs. Land at $3MM is a tough pill to swallow. Also, downtown nashville already has a brand new office building, The Pinncle, and it isn't nearly full.

The Freshman QB's at UF looked very lost last year. I know they will have spring practice and all summer and will look better, but this is one year it looks like it will be good that we play them at the beginning of the year! After two cupcakes and being able to throw it up anywhere then having their next game be in front of a hostile crowd with what should be a fairly good Secondary, I think we have some great opportunities for some pick 6's. Or at least i hope we do!

He didn't just "have an affair". Read more about what he did. Dude hired her the day the job was posted, and a case of sexual harrassment can be made because by the law, this can look like if someone would sleep with him they get the job. It's illegal. Also, he lied to his boss about the whole thing, which is why he got suspended. Not to mention now there's investiogation going on about a cover up plot with the police, which if true, can be a criminal offense.
You missed my point Nut. Whether what Petrino did was illegal or not, which there is a lot of "what-ifs" in your post, that isn't the point. The NCAA isn't involved because he didn't break an NCAA rule. He might have broke other laws, but not NCAA rules. Therefore, you can't compare the two incidents. If Petrino had lied to the NCAA about a recruiting situation, then yes, the situations would be comparable.

Last time I looked, having an affair wasn't an NCAA infection or rule he thumbed his nose at.
While I liked Pearl alot, he not only committed a NCAA infection with the BBQ, but then when confronted by the NCAA about said infection, lied to the NCAA AGAIN about that when they had proof of a picture.
You can't compare these two incidents like that. Petrino didn't break an NCAA rule and then lie again to the NCAA when he was confronted about it.
Like Pearl and Love Pearl all you want, but what he did was STUPID. If he had told the NCAA the truth about the picture when asked, Pearl would have received a slap on the wrist.

Thanks! We think he is pretty amazing! :)
Vinnie, it will be fun sharing the stories of our little guys since they are so close in age. Get ready! You want them to crawl but when they do, your life changes! You will then be wishing they were stationary.

Still a Titans fan.
Will continue to be a Titans fan.
Will continue to root for Peyton when it doesn't hurt the Titans which will be easier with him out of the division (provided he doesn't go to Houston).
I would like to see him in KC with Eric Berry.
Hear hear....I second this. I am and always have been a Titans fan. I have wanted Peyton to do well, but bad against the titans!

From everything I had read, Uconn was in the tournament no questions asked and not on the bubble. Lunardi had them as a 10 seed, which is comfortable in the field. So I don't see how this helps or hurts us.
In his latest projections, Lunardi has Memphis an 8 seed in Kentucky's bracket. I hope that happens. I would love to see Memphis get pounded like a red headed step child!
