Easiest to get around the North end of the stadium, the easiest to EVER get out of the garage, navigated the FARCE that is Knox PD traffic conttrol, and pretty darn fast getting home (I always avoid I-40, and go up I-275 to I-640 to head West

Yep. I left Lot 9B at 8:15 p.m. and made it home before 9:00 p.m., and we even made a quick pit stop along the way. We had the Acadia unloaded and were in the house watching other games by 9:10 p.m.  Never quicker in our 31 seasons tailgating in that lot. 

Well, it looks like we'll now be tailgating in our usual spot again this season in the B9 lot across the street from Neyland Stadium.    This will definitely be our last season tailgating, so PLEASE plan on joining us as often as you're able.

Sorry, everyone, but we won't be able to tailgate in the usual place in the B9 donor lot this season.  They changed the parking rules, and you can now enter onto Phil Fulmer Way only from Cumberland Ave. and you must show a parking pass.  We've never had a pass, but we were always let in by the parking lot attendants just to set up, not park.  Anyway, we'll try to tailgate near our assigned parking at Lot G16 (where Stokely Athletic Center once was) for all of the home games except the September 20th game. I'll let you know if anything changes.

No.  It's just become difficult, and I'll be on my own this season. It's my son's last semester before he graduates, so I promised one last season. We'll see how it goes.

Hello, everyone.  If you are interested in acquiring ownership of the VTTW, please let me know at therealorange@yahoo.com.  I believe that the volstothewall.com domain is actually still owned by ReVOLver, but I have been paying the bills here for years.  For those of us who have been around for a long time, the intent was for volstothewall.com to be much more than simply the board(s), but I'm really not sure that site even exists as a working website any longer.  I think there could be a solid base there for someone who is interested is starting a more rounded Vols website.  Anyway, if you are interested, just let me know.  It currently costs a little more than $500 per year.

For any of my friends here, if you've ever been interested in going to one of our family's University of Tennessee home football game tailgates, your chances are running out. It looks like the 2025 season will be our last. And, assuming that I can actually do it this season, we may not do it for every game. We'll see. Anyway, as of right now, I plan to set up as we have in the past, so if you're interested in coming to a tailgate, please plan to stop by and say hello. We've been tailgating at or near our current spot since 1995, and consistently going to games and tailgating since 1978. Yep, it'll be the end of an amazing era of special times with family and friends! 🧡🏈🧡

JMU has an extremely good football program.  They went  8-3 in 2022 in their first season as an FBS team. The only reason they didn't go to a bowl game last season is the stupid NCAA transition rule to ensure that new teams to the FBS play a true FBS schedule within three seasons.  The fact is that JMU's schedule in 2022 was already fully FBS compliant, but the rule couldn't be waived. Yes, the Sun Belt Conference isn't the SEC, but I think JMU will be winning even more games they're expected to lose as a still new FBS team.

No wonder the STATS say that we have 76.5 registrations per day. That's a lot of spam.

I accidentally deleted his account when clearing the registration requests, which number in the thousands and are 99.9% illegitimate. Completely my fault. 

in the first half for targeting. A couple of the calls were pretty close. It's too subjective. If the runner can lower his head, why not the defender? It's gonna change a lot of games personnel wise. Maybe they should save the ejection for if the player is called for it a second time in the game.

I didn't think any of the calls were close in the least.  They were all very obviously targeting as the rule is written.  All my brother and I kept saying was "Why is it so hard for the defenders to keep their heads up?"  That's a coaching issue.  All of the targeting calls I saw in that game were correctly called; even the announcers were saying that.
