The coaching carousel this winter should be one for the books. Just in the SEC, Arkansas is already open. UF and Auburn probably will be soon. UK will be if they can scrape together enough cash for Stoops' buyout. If OU and LSU close the season the way I expect, they could make a move too. And Clark Lea is being mentioned as a candidate for every job out there, so Vandy might come open if he makes a move. And that's just one conference- the B10 is in a similar situation. And all those schools' current players and recruits will probably be looking around, too.

I used to take Middlebrook all the way out to Pellissippi and hit I40 there when I was driving home to Chattanooga. Traffic moves surprisingly well, or at least it used to.

FWIW, Tony and Peyton are sitting together at the McCallie-Baylor game tonight. That doesn't suggest someone who is about to move cross-country.

I don't think any MLB team would just hand him the keys without having him put in time in the minors or as a bench coach, etc. That would be unprecedented. But if he WERE to leave, he will have finished the job- he won us a natty, he's leaving a loaded roster, a brand new stadium, and his presumed successor is already in the dugout. That may not be the case in another year- someone is going to hire Elander sooner or later. I guess what I'm saying is- I would hate to lose Tony, and I don't think we will. But if he's going to leave at any point, now might be the best time for all parties.

It doesn't matter. If he gets the Republican nomination, he'll win. The only way a Dem wins in this state is if the R has an October surprise sex scandal (see Roy Moore).

In fact, I'd bet money that's why Bruce dropped out. The oppo researchers probably didn't have to dig very deep to find something on him.

Hobbs just tweeted that he's back. And hopefully McCoy will be as well. If they're both 100%, that should make a huge difference. In Hood and McCoy (if healthy) we have two lockdown corners capable of playing on an island. That should free up Banks to get a lot more exotic in his blitz schemes.
