Wow that's quite an indictment

I just wish we had gone ahead and beaten usc junior in the SEC tournament

I wish Kellie well and appreciate her effort

Joyce Edwards, my bad

The weak link was recruiting. Which was on her. She never had anything like the talent Pat had. Did she ever have A players good as she was? What we found out was. It was about Pat--Not Tennessee.

This.  I met Joyce Edwards (5* that just went to USC) and the #1 reason she chose USC over UT was the LVB staff couldn't connect with her because 'they seemed old and disconnected'. and she wanted UT

My current mattress (a cheap off-brand memory foam I got off Amazon) is about 10 years old and I?m ready to replace it with something of higher quality. Currently leaning toward the Nectar Premiere Hybrid, which is supposed to be good for side-sleepers like me. Anyone have any other recommendations?

The game might have been sold out, but there were a lot of open seats. I'd say that the place was at 90% capacity at best, surprising since it was such a big game
9  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Weigel's from the corner, nothing but net on: March 07, 2024, 01:50:40 EST

When Knecht got the inbound dunk, that was the game, the stadium went silent and it never recovered like it was pre-dunk. The UT fan behind me shouted "this sounds just Brice Williams in the 2nd quarter"

It wasn't their prettiest effort but it was effective. SEC regular season champs.

At least their fans brought their dumb ass white towels to dry their eyes with. That was one of the most satisfying games I've witnessed

I know it's a midweek game, but it's still hard to believe that tickets can be had for that cheap. Is it even sold out? They're playing for a championship!

the tix I picked up were upper deck, mid court, 7 row. $117 with Stubhub fees & taxes. There were plenty more to choose from

Who are you???

21  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Opinion Piece...15 Best Classic Rock Songs of All Time on: January 19, 2024, 03:39:07 EST
I am lustily booing Vinnie and FL's takes. Y'all have collectively posted so much good stuff over the years. Hating on Pink Floyd and Queen is mind-boggling, but admittedly "Bohemian Rhapsody" is annoying.

This may get me banned, but "Firebird" is not close to Skynyrd's best. BDV has a solid point.

it's just a generational thing IMO. I'm a 'young' early 50's yo, and Vinnie as an old 40ish

I don't "hate" Queen, I just wasn't part of the crowd that was exposed to their tunes as they were released. The only song that I know of is Bohemian Rhapsody, and ironically I fined it somewhat entertaining.

Adding to the conversation, In my time spent in Seattle, I used to go Gorilla Gardens. It was a venue that all of the new grunge bands would play. While I can't swear to it, but I'll firmly attest that I participated in booing Eddy Vedder / Pearl Jam off of the stage. I *might* have listened to Sound Garden during their infancy as well.
22  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Opinion Piece...15 Best Classic Rock Songs of All Time on: January 19, 2024, 01:38:06 EST
I dig a lot of classic rock.  Probably my favorite genre.  But one band I really never got was Pink Floyd.
same, and add queen to the list

Many, MANY years ago, like the mid 80's/ early 90's, we were living in Seattle and my brother had just graduated HS. The summer prior to him moving back to Brevard NC to attend college, he worked at Genie Industries in Redmond WA. One of his work friends was a band member of Queensryche. They had just recorded Take Hold of the Flame, and he gave my brother a bootleg copy which was passed to me.

I can still see the cassette in my head, and I can still hear the lyrics. It was a great time to live in Seattle :)

10EC, here's the video of T90M getting destroyed by the Bradley's 25mm. The loss of control of the turret and hull (at the 0:32 mark) indicates that the 25mm penetrated the T90M's armor.

An APC destroying a "modern" MBT is not supposed to happen.....

Was that wrong?

I thought the same thing. The only people that would score points with would be the dumbass dark red gumps located in the shizzlehole of the south. Buck Fama and their now retired sawed off cheating shizzlebag of a coach, good freakin riddance
