Never was a fan of Pruitt.... Didn't want a return of Fulmer. I was the idiot who wanted Leach. If we are gonna lose, I at least wanted to see alot of points scored. Oh well... Shiano would have sucked. Unless we start paying like a top ten program, we will continue the mediocrity. Jones don't look so bad now. Jmo

Maybe i am alone in this opinion but i was actually excited about Leach. He is one of the few coaches that could have been transformative to our program. Not many coaches would have struck fear in the hearts of SEC Defensive coordinators, but Leach would have.  I like pirates too!!! I know he is a bit querky but he would have put 40+ on the board every game.  Oh well...doesn't matter any way. Maybe we can find Randy Sanders right?  

Pruitt would be a really good hire, and especially given what has happened here the last couple of weeks.  Don't really know what some folks expect at this point.  Just proves that some fans really don't have much of a clue.

I agree...some were upset we didn't hire Fulmer but he had Zero expecting an Ad.. Terrible choice.    Some wanted Blackburn but his best quality was that he was a UT guy... He has done a "nice"  job at UTC  but he has not captained a major program.  I think Currie will be fine. 

Im sure he will be fine.  People hated Dickey too... No big deal.  Too many other things to worry about in this world than what talking head will run the athletic dept.  He just needs to raise money and hire a good search firm when looking for coaches. It aint rocket-surgery.  It would be nice to know why Blackburn didnt get it.

There an old strategy that if you say something long enough... Maybe it will happen... Or the old "power of suggestion".  Doug Matthews is pushing for Fulmer and he said on his show this weekend that an AD announcement was imminent... He is one ot the people who are spreading this rumor...

Some of this stuff is pretty cheesy but if you don't see that Butch is playing a bigger game here then you just aren't paying attention. On the contrary, he's doing everything possible to promote Tennessee and sell it to whoever will listen as part of a ground-up rebuild of a trashed football program. The brand is damaged and he's doing what he can to bring it back, and that matters-- it sells the program to recruits, gets us in the media, and puts butts into seats and dollars into donations.

Come on, guys. Butch is doing everything he can to win and with whatever energy he has left he's trying to get UT football back on the map in terms of brand recognition and fan support. How he can be criticized for that effort is beyond me.

Why can't anyone say anything negative about UT? That is BS. Why do you just want to be a sheep and be okay with everything this school does. I want competitive teams nothing more. i don't live in Tennessee  so I can see how the locals dismiss all negative postings from a distance. What is he supposed to do better here than he did at Texas? If it ain't a championship, then we need better. Why participate in a sport unless to win it all. There is a lot to like about UT. I am just voicing my opinion about some of these ridiculous hires every one tries to sugar coat. Like Tyndall. Out of all coaches out there, why did the powers that be choose him? I knew it was a bad hire. wWhy didn't they?
