I guess some take this game more seriously than others. Don't worry, you will grow out of it. It is still kids playing the game and the so-called grown-ups get more butt hurt over it than the youngsters.
The reason us "grown ups" get so butt hurt is, we are paying for a product and not getting our money's worth.javascript:void(0);

It's ok to be critical, but be specific, and at least try to throw in some of your solutions to the problems, instead of just spewing the same old monotonous venom over and over and over again.

There are 3 things that have limited our passing game.....OL yes....WR's....yes. But also you can put blame on Dobbs. He has a issue of locking in on his primary and if it's not there he takes off. He doesn't do a good a good job of going through his progressions. Even if our OL gets better and the WRs improved, this will still be an issue if Dobbs doesn't improve.
He locks in on 1 receiver and never seems to check off to anyone else and that telegraphs it to the db's. Several of his throws should have been picked off and we've just been lucky they haven't been.

Surely he's joking, if not then he should just stay at home and watch it. His seats could be better used by someone who does make noise. Several times the noise from the crowd caused the OU line to miss the snap count. Tackles having to watch the snap instead of hearing it gives the D a half step.

http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-football/243757-tennessee-vs-maxims-vs-oklahoma.htmlHe almost always has a great retrospect on the game. He is well on the optimist side on this one, farther even than me. I actually blame the coaches for this one, but do recognize that we are not "all the way back" yet either. OMG does a good job reminding us of that. I expect us to be in SECC form next year, not this year, and yes, our problems Saturday were also due to depth. Two classes just isn't enough. It almost is, but when Butch's first class are juniors we will finally have quality depth. Some highlights... This is why the elite teams in the SEC are two-deep (and in certain cases three-deep) at EVERY position with guys who could start most anywhere else.
This is what it takes.
This is what Butch Jones is building to, but Tennessee is nowhere hear that level at present.”
I stand by that. Our 2015 Vols are better, undoubtedly. However, there are still many bricks to be laid before Tennessee is once again mentioned in the litany of elite college football programs. The Vols are getting there, but they haven't arrived yet and effusive pre-season hype and speculation can't change that. Tennessee's more powerful weapons in 2015 are the talented freshmen and sophomores from HeadVol Butch Jones's last two recruiting classes. The problem is that they are still freshmen and sophomores. Last year they were more concerned about who to take to the Homecoming Dance than in how to operate against Division One talent. Add to that the fact that an Oklahoma or an Alabama has a host of upper-classmen who are all-Conference or better in their own right to show these youngsters the ropes, and that Tennessee, at this point, does not.
I'll be glad when get back to the days of just reloading as it was in the PF era, until his last couple of years.

I felt like Jones could have or should have tried the 4th and goal at the 2 foot line, but at the end of the day I can see both sides of that one. I don't think that's why we lost. We went on to score 14 more points, but we just inexplicably got complacent. About the middle of the 2nd quarter, I think after they scored the FG, we came out and the body language of the offense was just different, and the first play from srimmage just looked...for want of a better word, "half-assed". Its a very intangible thing but it was like the team lost focus and intensity. That does reflect on the leadership, because teams take cues like that from their coaches. I actually started feeling uneasy at that point, and it only got worse when we had a great chance to score to end the half when our last drive penetrated fairly deep into their territory but then we moved backwards. Then we came out and did exactly the same thing at the start of the second half. The O looked very confused in the second half, a couple of times Howard lined up in the wrong place and went the wrong way. Blackledge who we all know and love, said that made Dobbs look (his words) "discombobulated"

I wonder how much the debacle last night hurt recruiting? There were supposed to be several 4 and 5 stars there.

From what I could tell by watching TV, the crossing pattern seemed pretty much open all night. Many times their receivers had a 1/2 step or more and Only bad throws by Mayfield prevented big gains and a couple of TDs. JMO

Have to agree about the O-Line. Dobbs had someone in his face all night. I think several of the bad throws were because he was hurried and about to get his clocked cleaned. As far as the running game goes in the 2nd half there just weren't any running lanes open. Give credit to OU's halftime adjustments.
