I’ll be completely honest: if he’s really got a nagging injury that will be difficult to heal by bowl game time then I’m ok with it. Otherwise, I don’t like to see players bail on their team prior to the end of the season.

First off, I’d really hate that for all of those ex-UT players who went to Norman to play for him. 😜

On a more serious note, Riley likely sees the writing on the wall. Championships are going to be much more difficult to come by once OU is in the SEC, I think. Expectations are presently much higher at OU than they will be at USCw. The likely floor at USC will likely match the ceiling for OU once they are in the SEC.

If you had asked me in August if I would have taken this team and a 7-5 record, I’d have said “Heck YES!!”

The ability to transfer at any point during the season is what needs to change IMO. Transfers should only be allowed at the end of the season, or establish a specified period during the season (1 week) so a coach doesn't have to wonder who he's got to play with week to week.        

Personally, I don’t like it at all. I think if you want to transfer, for any reason, you should have to sit a year (no exceptions), imo.

The transfer portal is here to stay, imo.  In fact, I think it is much more likely that the rules on transfers will relax even more instead of becoming more stringent.  I really hope that is not the case, but its what I think is likely to happen.

One-Time Transfer Exception Criteria for 2021-22 Enrollment
Q1: What criteria does the student-athlete need to meet in order to utilize the new Division I one-time exception to seek immediate transfer eligibility?
A1: In order to meet the criteria of the one-time transfer exception, the student-athlete must:
• Transfer from a four-year collegiate institution to an NCAA Division I school;
• Leave their current four-year school academically eligible;
• Have not transferred previously from another four-year institution, and
• Certify in writing, along with their new head coach, they did not have direct or indirect communication with the new school’s athletics staff prior to entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Additionally, a student-athlete must provide their current school with a written request to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal by July 1, 2021 (all sports) to use the one-time exception. Other rules (e.g., disciplinary suspension at the previous school, transferable credits accepted by your new school, sport specific midyear transfer rules) may also factor into the campus compliance administrator’s certification of transfer eligibility.

Q5: How does a student-athlete know if they will be academically eligible at the time they prepare to transfer from their current school?
A5: Student-athletes will want to seek assistance from their campus compliance administrator to ensure whether this one-time transfer exception will apply to their specific transfer situation prior to requesting entrance to the NCAA Transfer Portal.

It most definitely was!  The intensity on defense today was night-and-day from what we witnessed against Nova.

In the first few games, I wasn't overly impressed with his play.  I thought that he could contribute, but didn't see him being anything close to what we saw today.  The kid played lights out today, especially in the second half.

I thought that he, and the team as a whole, benefited from the multiple guard offense.  I thought that it was really tough for UNC to defend that offensive line-up.

 

Something really must be done to eliminate that.

Mizzou is now bowl eligible, while UF must now beat FSU to get there.

And once again ……….

Wow! Really!  Only kidding, of course. Arkansas has to score two TDs to get credit for one. SEC clearly wants two teams in the playoffs.

This is why I’ve said before that UGA needed Bama to lose 2 games before the SECC. I don’t expect UGA to get any help in Atlanta if Bama has only one L.

I’m pulling for UNC to lose (I’d do that anyway), but from the small sample size of games I’ve seen so far this season I don’t really think we want to play Purdue.

Complete and total domination. I don’t think that there’s anything else to say.

Team speed, imo, is an issue with this squad. We aren’t quick enough to defend 1-on-1 on the half court. I am sure that he’s done it before, but I can’t recall CRB ever playing zone here before today - and it was because we simply could not defend them.

and George Mason. They are up on Maryland right now, on the road. I’m really a fan of this kid. He has a very high motor. I hope that he has a great career there.

I didn’t rewind and watch that a second time, but it looked as though he was running in sand for a few strides on that route. If it’s the pass I am thinking of, it was a well thrown pass.

I’ve never been a fan of rotating QBs.

One of the issues with Milton, I think, it’s his inability to see the field. That’s tough to correct. I would love it if he could develop into a great QB for us, though, because his arm is a cannon. He’s got a long way to go to convince me he can do that, especially after the 4th down run out of bounds against Ole Miss.

I watched some of it - including the OT. I didn’t find it sad at all. 😂🤣😂

I was very pleased with Milton's performance - 100% improvement.  Threw the ball well.  As for Evans, we are already past the point where we needed him.

I agree that the final two games, we shouldn’t need Evans. In a potential bowl game, I think it’s likely that he might be a huge factor. My thought on Evans, though, is really just selfish because I’d love to have him in the backfield again next year.

Our OL could not handle UGA DL in the run or passing game....Period.

Yep. I thought that they were completely dominant after our third possession, especially their D line.

I spent one of our possessions watching just Cade, and even he was overpowered more often than not. I know he’s been dealing with injury, but the line of scrimmage belonged to UGA last night.
