I am sorry to hear of the great loss you and your board community have suffered.  Ya know, there is no good age to lose a parent, but 12,11, & 9?  Those years could not be more tender.  Crushing.

He had posted on these various forums (Mud, WHAB and Vols) for 22 years.  He began in 1996.  He was among a handful of >20 year posters.  He was only 46.  It's cosmic criminality.

Actually no.  My reading of every other UT fan that has posted on this topic outside of this message board voiced similar opinions.  They did not think he should have been fired.  Pissed that it happened.  And that we would love him.  Perhaps it's time you guys opened some windows and let some fresh air in here.

I will tell you this, Wayne . . . I'm not deliberately rooting against him for reasons I've conveyed on WHAB, but the state of rooting for him at another SEC school is unstable. It can't last and has already decayed to indifference. By tipoff in November I expect to wish losses on AU. I think that's the way it ends up. Plus I think we have a really good coach in Knoxville anyway. I'm 100% on board with Tyndall.

But you'll love him and I can't blame AU fans for that.

Well I agree with Clocky that he will compete for playing time . . . but at Auburn that is true no matter.  We rotate 11 DL all game.  I'm sure UT wants to be in that same position.

Alabama missing 4 FGs wasn't luck? Saban's dumbass decision to go for it on 4th down with 5 minutes to play & a TD lead rather than kick a chip-shot FG and put the game out of reach wasn't luck? RETURNING A MISSED FG 109 YARDS WASN'T LUCK?!?! Lol. Okay.

I think the most obvious thing is that Auburn is not head-and-shoulders above the rest of the top-tier SEC teams (let's not forget that they were extremely fortunate to beat Alabama and extremely fortunate to beat Georgia and, truthfully, should've lost both those games), while Ohio State is just simply not that good, which made Michigan State look better last night.

I don't mind the 4-team playoff, but when it inevitably expands to 8 teams, it's going to start us down the road to the end of college football as we know it. I firmly believe that.

We were not fortunate to beat Bama.  We ran for 294 yards on them.  And ran over them in for 3 drives.  If anything Bama was lucky to get a fumble and 2 broken coverages.  And the UGA thing while lucky was only the fates balancing the ledger . . . they did not score the last TD.  Should have been our ball on the 1 with 1:50 left.

Not to mention the rain and LSU (Hill) ran through your defense like a hot knife through warm butter.

Everyone has done that . . . the difference is our first 3 possessions.  Can't give LSU that kind of spot.

We were not as good then.  We went on our first road game and turned the ball over our first 3 possessions.  Fumble, Int, blocked punt.  LSU converted to points.
